Yet, their departure from the City of Angels proves to be far more deadly than they imagined. In New Orleans, Samsun encounters a coven of dark witches, who inform the malevolent being of their shared ambition-to find and destroy the mighty wizard, Kon. While in the Void Realm, Hector and Alle attempt to find a way to escape. But in their struggle, the pair manages to draw the ire of the shaman Serke's insect drones, plunging them deeper into the abyss of the Void.
