If anyone has sketches or links to sketches form Saturday's tribute, we'd like to see them... and so would everyone else i suspect. It was a great tribute to Mike and it's be nice to see some of them in one place.

I wasn't able to get shots of the art besides one from Tommy Castillo, the booth was packed.
I don't know if it's been mentioned elsewhere but some the artists that participated were Francis Manapul, Dave Finch, Tommy Castillo, Billy Tucci, Marc Silvestri, Joe Benitez, Chasen Grieshop, Talent Caldwell, Mike Choi, Alé Garza.. I know there's more but I can't remember them all.
Here's some photos of the tribute in full swing.

I didn't get shots as well of the sketches, but here's pics of the artists doing it a second time on Sunday.

I think it would have been good to do as many sketches as possible, but I only managed one. I started off doing my normal headsketch layout but for some reason, i just didn't want to stop drawing.
All in all, it's not very good, Sara looks like she's 10, but it took me an hour and a half of pointless noodle work and going over lines over and over. I just didn't want to stop doing what I was doing.
The time there was weird. I didn't know how to feel. The guys I was sitting between were crying throughout but I kind of just sat there going through the motions of drawing.
I remember one weird exchange between Dave and a guy asking for a Captain America sketch. When Dave said he wanted to only do characters that Mike created, the guy asked when Dave was going to be at his table and then walked away. That was weird. I got a little angry then. I don't think he knew what had happened or why we were there. He just saw Dave Finch sketching and saw an opportunity I guess.
I don't know why we were there. I don't think we did it for the fans, although that would have been nice. I think we did it for us.
I can't pretend to have known Mike as well as others. In the end, I was just a fan, as evidenced by the fact that even to the end I always referred to him to others as "Michael Turner." But he always picked up when I called for advice, he always had a smile and a hug whenever I saw him, and always laughed when I made a stupid joke (unless it was at the expense of the Lakers... but you know what? F*** 'em.) But that doesn't make me special. He treated everyone special.
I can say though that I have caught a touchdown pass from him :)
I think I think of death a little weirdly. I'm very aware that everyone eventually dies, so I don't think of it as a bad thing. (Mike's illness was a bad thing, but damn if he'd never let it show. He actually made me believe that cancer was just something that would "act up" on occasion, and it was a mere pain in his ass. CANCER.) So I'm not sad for him. He's in a better place.
I'm sad for his family. I'm sad for his friends and his brothers at Aspen. And I'm sad for his fans.
And I'm sad for me too, I guess. But I'm not really sure. When I think about it too much there's a sucking feeling in my chest that I don't like so I think about something else.
He was the best of us.
In the end, I'm just another fan.
Thanks, Michael Turner.

Wow, that must have been both an amazing and painful experience. I hope more of the sketches surface, they are a wonderful tribute to Mike. Also, Mr. Choi, thank you for sharing your work and thoughts.

Mike, I'm not an art critic (nor do I play one on TV) but that's a nice piece especially given the circumstances & I love the little comment at the top.
There are some pictures on Newsarama ref the tribute.
It says a lot about him when you & your fellow artists put this 1st before anything else that you had scheduled to do for yourselves @ WW Chicago.
