okey dokey then. The competetiveness isn't the problem. Otherwise, what's the point, right?
I'm still of the mindset that I'd also vote the best rendition, be it a rough sketch or clean finished piece. Like the Iron Chef Gelatometti draw-offs...only we get a week instead of an hour
So everything else with this challenge, I'm clear about and shoudl reamin as is. Was just unclear on the whole "sketch vs drawing" thing until now.
But yes, this really is a great idea you guys proposed to come up with while at SDCC. At any con there is that creative buzz that gets you pumped...or drained, heh.
btw, I'm just taking a break from Penance. undecided on a final pose, dangit

I can't believe that Penance was my pick, because I think she's ultra cool and such, and yet I haven't even started my sketch!
I guess I'd better stop stalling, and get my work done so I can get a sketch finished before midnight! 
Personally, so long as others feel okay about it, I'm alright with a little competativeness... honestly, it was the awesome art that was produced by everyone else in the first 2 weeks of the challenge that encouraged me to try a little harder in the 3rd week, and I think it paid off. (ie. i'm much happier with my Rebecca Golden, than I was with my Jubilee) I'm ok to keep the voting in for now... but if it becomes a problem, I'm also okay with switching to a different mode of selecting.

Wow!! all of the pieces look really good this week both color and pencil. It makes me really excited. I will try to get a color one in to submit. I'm terrified of color and contrast though so we shall see what i end up with it may look like a two year old sneezed after eating finger paints.
