It's been forever since I've posted anything, been super busy moving across country from Ohio to Seattle, Wa. and coloring various projects that I can't show yet but I will once I can. Anyways here's a piece I did for fun. I felt that this cover could of used a little more rendering to help move the readers eye through the page, and focus on what's important. I also felt like a little mock up would be fun as well, so I added the title and stuff up top. IMO The original is just a bit to plain for my taste, don't kill me for saying that, lol. It's just my opinion. Crits always welcomed. enjoy:)

interesting, how? just curious, looking at the shadows and the way it was drawn, it looks to me that the light is somewhere around the bottom right because of were it casts the shadow. lights usually are opposite of shadows, unless i missed something. please do enlighten.

the shadow would indicate the light is coming from the back of the figure.
the highlights indicate the light is from the top the shadows would be below the figure

ok, but to me it looks like the light source is coming from off page slightly towards the top. if you look at the shadow on the roof from the foremost owl bad guy it shows that there is at least one light source there, and a different one that is lighting batmans' face. Greg drew very defined shadows that show the source is off page towards the top. but that's just my opinion, thanks for the insight.
