Welcome All,
This is the official thread for the Michael Turner artwork list. Many of you at one time or another have contacted me in regards to obtaining some Michael Turner original art. A lot of you I know or have spoken with, but as well, some of you I've only spoken with through emails. I know this list has been a long time coming and I apologize to those of you that have waited a while for it. My goal is to have a running update of sold pages here in this section of the message boards to help keep everyone informed of what pages are currently being sold. So without further adieu, here's all of the information you need to know in order to buy some of Mike's art.......
1. Availability:
Pages are available on a first come, first serve basis. You need to contact me through my email address (frank@aspencomics.com) in order to purchase any art. Each new complete thread update will contain the current available artwork for sale. If you do not see the piece(s) of art you're looking for on the list, it's either already sold or not for sale.
2. Viewing the available art:
This list is quite big, and only some of the pages are scanned in. You can ask to see pages you're interested in, but remember, I AM ONLY ONE PERSON! Therefore, I ask you please be kind and NOT send me request lists consisting of 20+ pages that you'd like to see scans of in order to decide which 1 page you're going to buy. PLEASE, look through the respective comic issues the pages you're debating about are from, and narrow it down from there. I spent many hours putting this list in exact order so you know exactly where the pages came from. If you have one or two pieces of art you still cannot find and would like to see them, I'll do my best to accommodate your requests, but PLEASE, be gentle!
3. Prices:
The prices listed are the asking price for each individual page(s). However, depending on the page(s) being purchased, I'm more than willing to 'move' on the prices in order to help out a bit. Please note, some pages are more maneuverable than others!! I'll do the best I can for you, but expect a little more give on some of the older pages than the new stuff.
4. 300 Club:
This is a brand new section of the artwork list that contains ALL available pages that are priced at $300 or BELOW. Please don't expect much, if any at all, price reduction on these particular pages. They are already priced at the point where we'd like to sell them.
5. Reserves / Holds:
This is not one of my favorite thing to do. My regular job duties keep me busy enough, that keeping track of tons of pages on reserve is not something I like to do. However, I understand what it's like to want a piece of art that you don't quite have the money for at the moment. Depending on the page, I'll require a deposit to hold it, but only in select situations. Once again though, I will do my best to work with you and hold pages for a small amount of time (roughly a week), but please be considerate and ONLY do this is you are 100% certain you will be purchasing the art.
6. Paying for art:
This is my preferred order of how I'd like to receive in payment for purchased art:
1. Cash
Now I understand cash can only be delivered in person, so this payment option is best reserved for picking up art only at a convention or at a store signing.
2. Money order / cashiers check / Personal check (US only)
Money orders, cashiers checks and personal checks sent to work are preferred next. Obviously, we wait for the personal check to clear prior to sending out the art.
3. Credit Card
Credit cards are next, but they get tricky. Thankfully, we haven't been burned with any credit card fraud, but it still exists. If I've never sold art to you before, I'm going to be very critical on the information I request from you in order to place a credit card order. As well, if you're international, expect a complete verification exam and a waiting period to receive the art. I hate to be that way, but I need to in order to protect myself and you. I'll go in to this much more on an individual basis if you're new and you'll be paying with credit.
4. Paypal
The easiest way to pay.....but also MY LEAST FAVORITE!! Paypal takes such a high percentage, that we can sometimes loose hundreds of dollars when payment is sent through. It will depend on the price of the artwork you're purchasing if this will be an acceptable form of payment or not. Even though it's the fastest and one of the most secure ways to pay, it's also the most costly.
5. Western Union / Wire Transfer
These options are available, BUT I highly discourage using them unless its an absolute must for you. Aside from the fees, these methods take WAY too much time out of my schedule. Please try to arrange payment in any other way before you decide on using one of these. Thanks.
PLEASE NOTE: ALL ART SALES ARE FINAL. THERE ARE NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES SO PLEASE MAKE SURE THE ART YOU PURCHASE AND PAY FOR IS THE ART YOU WANT.
7. Layaway / Time Payments:
First and foremost, I'd ALWAYS prefer that the piece of art you're purchasing is paid for in full so you can have it right away. BUT, I also know that some of the more expensive pieces may require a few payments. I'll work with each of you during these situations to plan out payment terms. Depending on the price of the artwork, my minimum amount due for the first payment will be 25% or more. Please don't ever expect something like $100 a month for 2 years or something. That'll never happen. But, we can discuss payment terms (if needed) on a per case basis.
8. Shipping / Insurance / Receiving the art:
Shipping and insurance prices are to be determined before payment is received in, and that amount is to be ADDED to the price of the art. After payment is received in and cleared, confirmed, etc., I'll ship out the artwork directly to you. I prefer to use Fedex for easier tracking, but we can discuss other shipping options if you prefer. I completely insure the art and package it VERY well, so please trust when I say your art will arrive in the same condition as when it leaves. I've sold art for many years and haven't had any problems yet, so I plan to keep that record in tact.
That should just about cover everything you need to know about buying a piece of Turner art from me. If you still have questions on something, just let me know and I'll clarify as best as possible.
Lastly, we're off to the San Diego Comic Con next week. I'm in the office until Tuesday morning, so I'll do my best to respond to all of your emails as best as possible before then. I'll be somewhat available during the con, but please expect most return emails the week after the con is over. I'll have all of the artwork for sale at the con, so if you're going, make sure to stop by the booth and check out all of the new pages for sale! I'll update the list on the message boards with all of the sold items after I get back. Talk with everyone then!

Your question is answered in paragraph 16. But yes, all of the art on the list will be on sale at the San Diego con.

Wow that's alot of art. Unfortunately the page I want is gone SM/BM i 9 pg 22 (WW and Supergirl) that page was awesome. Oh well, I will have to check in person at sdcc, because most of my books are in trade form so I have no clue what page is what number.

WOW, that's a crap load of art!! It's great that all this stuff is available for a shmoe like me who can't get out to those big conventions and buy it there!
Unfortunately, I can't get any of these pieces for the same reason that I can't get out to the big conventions... I don't have that kind of money
