Hey. I'm Robt Snyder and I color comics. Most recently you can see my colors in Zombie Highway from Digital Webbing. (The new issue is in July's Previews page 272. ) When I'm not coloring, then I'm flatting pages for other colorists or messing around on Myspace.com. I'd get a lot more done if it wasn't for that website. I've really enjoyed the atmosphere here at Aspen the little that I've been around and I hope to get to know more of you better.

Hey there.
My name is Chris. Ive been a fan of Mike and Peters art for the longest time. Since they started I guess. I own almoste very book these two have done together and on their own. (Except for those crazy museum additions) $$.
Anyways, I love their art, and even though I just started writing on these forums I am a loyal addict to their work.
(the first step is admitting you have a problem)..
Well I just wanted to say hello, and introduce myself to everyone.
You never know, we may one day bump into one another at a convention, or even do buisness on ebay.
I sell everything TURNER on ebay if any one is interested (mostly pre orders, prints, and some back issues) RARITIES for sure.
If you interested check me out by ebay name (jeanna_mh)
Thanks
Cheers

didn't realize i'm a fry and this is where i belong, cuz i feel like such the oldtimer here. i've been here, lurking on and off for two years, and everybody's already forgotten about me. that's fine tho. =b this is probably the third time i came back. anywho, i like eating. i like sleeping. i also use the bathroom. oh, and aspen is great too. so, hello all you fellow below-100ers. those were nice colors on the cassaday pic, robt. and, chris you have quite the extensive mtps collection. i probably have only 30 or so (haven't counted). You had to create this topic, P, and reel me out of my anonymity, didn't you. jp

HI everyone, and thanks P for starting this thread for us bewildered newcomers lol.
My name is Conny and I am an artist from Australia. I mainly paint sci fi covers but have recently started in the very scary arena called comics. (Infact I would never have accepted the challenge had it not been for Mike and Peters inspiring work, and reading the Millenium book also pushed the right buttons).
I look forward to meeting everyone here and getting comfy in this new community.

Thanks for the invite Wolverart and I would download some images but for some reason I am unable to. I was even asked once to show some pics of a Grace Statue I was forced to repaint and eventually had to send the picture to another board member so taht they could do it for me. I followed all the steps but it didn't work....
I will still check out the art room to see what others are doing and to also ask some questions about the comic I am doing, so hopefully I will see you there!

Under 100, that's me, guess I just never have anything to say or post :)
I'm Spock-tM, not a Trekkie, hate the show (sorry), name was given to me by mates because I have a pointy ear and an extra organ, kinda stuck. I also (when I do post) like to rant. For this.... I am sorry.... a little.
At the moment I guess you could call me a Travelling Artist, although I use the word Artist loosly, more of a Travelling Novice Artist, or a Travelling Hobo. I started in Whakatane, New Zealand, but decided to travel the coast of Queensland (Cairns to Brisbane) first so that I could go back to NZ with tourist's eyes to travel and draw the north/south islands over there. What I'm doing is drawing the landscapes, special features, architecture and people I see along the way, while updating when possible an online journal following my day by day journey. I really started the day I headed to Aussie, and I've been here about a month; planning on the aussie trip taking till about the end of october, then heading back to NZ and starting again.
Before I left (and when I have the time still) I was teaching myself how to draw and colour, I really only started getting into colouring pictures near the end of October last year, so there is still plenty for me to learn, and can't wait to find it all out. Something I did pick up before I left thou, was that I hated drawing backgrounds. I soon came to realize the importance of them, and began noticing how much of a role they can play when trying to draw a comic. So I guess that's what I'm doing here, trying to learn how to love drawing backgrounds, also a good way to see different places and spend more time drawing... when I'm not walking, working or sleeping... it's a long way inbetween places here, and I only came over with AUS$400.... my sketch book isn't as full as I'd like it too be ;)
Prolly not alot else you need to know about me, I guess my DeviantArt page is http://spock-tm.deviantart.com/ and my Travelling Artist page is http://www.travellingartist.net/
PS: I currently hate my own art, and I love critiques
Catch ya on the boards.

Hey Spock, enjoy Australia (from a fellow Aussie) and if you get the chance central Australia is incredibly inspiring for artists. Some of the best sunsets and alien landscapes you are ever likely to see.
Definitely plan on seeig NZ in the future, it looks amazing.

Well I would love to check out Uluru, but I don't think that I'll be heading towards central aussie this trip.... unless something drastic changes my plans :D which is one of the reasons I have yet to purchase my return ticket back to NZ :)
I have seen a bit of NZ, but not nearly as much as I would have liked, and because I lived there, I think I took it for granted, same as Australia, I lived over here for about 10 years when I was a kid, but never really appreciated the place, hence the travelling back to view with new eyes, then go back to NZ and rinse-repeat :)
But hey, thanks for the welcoming dita :)
