Aspen Comics is ready to blaze new trails in their respective universes with the unveiling of their latest series, the Aspen Showcase line of books. The Aspen Showcase titles will feature and focus on one particular character from Aspen’s various books including Soulfire, Fathom, Shrugged, and their new properties to come.
The first Aspen character to bask in the Showcase spotlight is Soulfire’s beautifully defiant heroine Grace with the release of the Aspen Showcase: Grace #1. Written by Vince Hernandez (Fathom: Kiani) and gorgeously illustrated by Sana Takeda, this one-shot special highlights Grace’s journey throughout history, and her search for the return of a magical age forever lost to her.
With covers by interior artist Takeda and upcoming Soulfire: Volume 2 artist Marcus To, The Aspen Showcase: Grace #1 will also feature a special Michael Turner and Peter Steigerwald WonderCon 2008 edition cover, limited to 2000 copies, available only at the Aspen Comics Booth #615 at the show.

Sana Takeda is an incredibly talented artist and this is just the first taste of what’s to come for future Showcase books. The second planned installment for the Aspen Showcase is no secret however, and will be handled by C.B. Cebulski with art by Talent Caldwell. Caldwell, returning to Aspen to pencil this very special one-shot, will tackle a Fathom story featuring the company’s namesake Aspen Matthews. Aspen Showcase: Aspen Matthews #1 will be in stores in Summer 2008.
